We here at the Peugh Law Firm are pleased to announce that our attorney, Dan Peugh, has been nominated for Best of Denton County in the Legal Services Category.  This year he has been nominated specifically for his work in Juvenile Defense.  Dan has been nominated and won Best of Denton County for his work in Adult Criminal Defense in years past (2015 & 2016) and we are very excited that Dan is being recognized for his work in Juvenile Law.

There is far more work to be done in the area of Adult Criminal Defense than in Juvenile Defense and, as a result, that is what Dan spends most of his time working on.  However, he accepts as many Juvenile Defense cases as he can do great work on because he likes working with young people.  Dan, first started working in Juvenile Law while he was at the Denton County Criminal District Attorney’s Office.  Dan started as an adult misdemeanor prosecutor but, he volunteered to work in the Juvenile Court as needed.  After a stint as a Chief Misdemeanor Prosecutor, Dan was promoted to Juvenile Second Chair Prosecutor where he first got to handle felony charges.  Dan would go on to serve as Denton County’s Chief Juvenile Prosecutor until he left the District Attorney’s Office to practice Juvenile Defense privately.

After twenty years of handling Juvenile Defense cases, Dan still enjoys the challenges that are unique to Juvenile Defense.  Over the years Dan has helped many kids who made a bad decision to make amends and put the matter behind them.  He has also successfully helped some young clients clear their names by obtaining dismissals and “not guilty” verdicts.  Whether it is a Child in Need of Supervision Charge or a serious adult crime like burglary, Dan Peugh has the experience and the skills to be the best in Juvenile Defense.  Please click to vote for Dan, thank you.
